At Rym Services Express I went from junior developer to leading the entire mobile portfolio — DZtenders, Wajeez (ex-FoodBeeper), RymCard, and Kawarir.
What I did
- Started on the Wajeez Courier and Store Manager apps, clearing the outstanding bug backlog to stabilise both.
- Took DZtenders as a first solo project after a full stack change — engineered the core architecture and led full-cycle development end to end.
- Promoted to lead the portfolio of 7 mobile apps after independently shipping DZtenders — development, maintenance, and optimisation.
- Removed 3+ years of technical debt with continuous refactoring toward a scalable MVVM architecture, while shipping new features in parallel.
- Created multi-platform CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Jenkins, and CodeMagic; standardised workflows and Git branching strategies.
- Owned App Store / Play Store publishing and technical meetings with companies such as Huawei.
- Built a comprehensive design system to unify the brand across every app, and mentored intern developers.
Challenges
Inheriting legacy codebases and a growing app count meant paying down debt and shipping features at the same time — the discipline that shaped how I build everything since.
